the NEW LG Chocolate

I personally thought the chocolate was always a piece of junk, so I was surprised they even gave this smartphone the same name. The new Chocolate has a large panoramic (4 Inch!) widescreen made with scratch proof glass. The screen provides " cinema-like quality and optimal mobile computing experience." Includes wi-fi and touch screen as well as a slew of other features.

Motorola Morrison

Looks like an Iphone with a slide out QWERTY. It's going to be on T-Mobile, and it will run on the Android OS. Looks very clean but you can expect awful quality since it's a Motorola. Read more at Phandroid.

HTC Hero

The new great looking phone has yet to be picked up by a carrier in the US. This early version of the phone receives some negative feedback from the people over at Gizmodo. The phone is supposedly sluggish, and the autofocus on the camera is supposedly weak. The shape of the phone itself, and the 480x320 screen are some upsides to the phone. All in all, the phone needs a better processor to handle the applications as well as an improved camera.

Blackberry Desktop Manager for Macs

As many of you BB user's may have encountered, your phone does not sync well with itunes. Apple has actually blocked the devices from doing so. Fortunately, BB is dropping a new program for macs to correct this problem. Amen.

"Mac users, rejoice -- well, the BlackBerry users in the lot of you, anyway. RIM's been infamous over the years for all but ignoring Mac support for its devices, throwing out the occasional bone like Media Sync, but they're now going big with a full-fledged Desktop Manager supporting Mac OS 10.5.5 and above when it launches... sometime. The big sticking point right now is that RIM isn't talking about an availability date, all we know is that it'll happen some time in September -- but when that date comes, you'll have a suite that's able to sync iTunes, add and remove apps, perform firmware updates, create backups and restore from them, and manage multiple BlackBerrys at the same time. Nokia, maybe you guys want to take note here?"

Cancer meds can wipe away fingerprints? Crazy...

"A patient who took an anti-cancer drug lost his fingerprints, which caused him to be detained for hours when he tried to visit the United States. The 62-year-old patient had been taking capecitabine, a follow-up drug for chemotherapy for cancer of the head and neck, Singaporean specialist Eng-Huat Tan and colleagues recounted in a letter to the British journal Annals of Oncology."

Microsoft Zune HD

Basically a hi-def, microsoft version of the Ipod Touch. Rumors have been circulating about this device actually coming out, but Microsoft announced the device today. Looks clean.

"The flash-based Zune HD features a new industrial look compared to the line's earlier understated matte style, and is the first to feature a touchscreen: In this case, it's a 3.3" 16:9 widescreen capacitive OLED with multitouch, packing a resolution of 480x272. The "HD" badging comes from the inclusion of HD radio and HD (720p) video-out, though the latter is available only with an optional docking station. The Zune HD will thus be the world's first portable media player to include HD radio, which offers song and artist info and far better sound quality than traditional radio. It'll also include an accelerometer, which is pretty much standard at this point."

"Minibar"- The First Self Service Bar

If you are ever out in Amsterdam like my boy Deano was this semester, you should definitely check out minibar. It is a self-service by that includes 45 fridges including liqour, beer, soft drinks, snacks and everything else you would need. You gain access to the fridges by a key at the front desk of the bar. I could definitely see me and my friends enjoying myself at the minibar. More pics/info at trendsnow.

Hypermac Extrenal battery pack

The world's first external battery pack for mac laptops. It allows you to power your macbook for up to 32 hours, which is very impressive. It can also charge your computer and iphone simultaneously. The hypermac starts at $199. Get it here!
